Reporting and disclosures

As part of regulatory oversight for regulated suppliers of water supply services and wastewater services, the Commerce Commission requires specific disclosures are reported and are publicly available.

Dividend Policy

IAWAI, in its constitution, is not permitted to pay dividends. Section 15 of the Constitution specifically states the Board may not authorise dividend payments.

Omission and explanation note

Some information currently does not fully meet the level of detail required by Clauses 4.7 and 4.8 of the Commerce Commission's Water Services Information Disclosure requirements.

What does this mean for customers?

Customers continue to have access to information about the charges they pay and how growth-related infrastructure is funded. Any impact is limited to the availability of some detailed information on how charges are presented and how growth costs are allocated and recovered.

What information is available?

Information is currently available through:

  • IAWAI 2026-36 Water Services Strategy
  • Fees and Charges Schedule
  • Development Contributions Policy

When will this be resolved?

We are working with the Commerce Commission to address these requirements as quickly as possible.

Our commitment

We remain committed to transparency and providing customers with clear information about how water services are funded and charged.
